Easy Card Topper with Alcohol Ink: Celebrate

There is something about the simplicity of these toppers that I love. Quick and easy!

I started by adding Isopropyl Alcohol and Blending Solution to the yupo before adding the alcohol inks.
I much prefer working this way as everything is more fluid and easier to move across the substrate
Then I added some Dandelion alcohol ink and moved it across the substrate using my air blower
Next was time for some Mojito – also applied in the same way. Alcohol Ink and Blending Solution first, then the alcohol ink and moved across the yupo using the air blower
And lastly I added some Glacier Blue – this colour is AMAZING! A new favourite of mine
Then I went back in for another round, adding more colour, Isopropyl Alcohol and Blending Solution and moved the ink around using the air blower until I was happy with the background
For areas where the alcohol ink colour builds up and becomes too thick, I remove that colour using a fine tipped paint brush and Isopropyl Alcohol and / or Blending Solution
I trimmed my background down to size using my Tim Holtz Guillotine
And matted it onto some black cardstock for a nice dramatic effect. It really helps make the colours pop
I die cut the word celebrate twice from black cardstock. I like to run the cardstock through my Xyron to add adhesive before I cut the sentiments, that way it is easier to adhere them together and less messy than using glue
I stuck the 2 die cut words together to create a little height
And used my Wendy Vecchi Mini Make Art Stay-tion to line up the sentiment and glued that into place using Distress Collage Medium
I added some Glossy Accents over the word and allowed it to dry. I love the dimensional ‘resin’ like appearance it creates
Another really simple and quick card topper to add to your stash, ready for someone special
