Traditional red and green work beautifully with this Colorize Santa! Here is a quick and easy Christmas Card Topper you can make this Christmas
I started off by making a few Colorize Santa’s. I always like to make a few at a time, that makes assembling them super easy and feels more productive. I always add adhesive to the back of my cardstock before I cut the pieces, that way I just peel off the tape and stick the elements together. I also find it keeps my pieces cleaner as there always seems to be some mess when using a liquid adhesive. He is such a handsome fella!
On this card topper I chose to use Embossing Paste through a stencil and then add my embossing powder and heat set. If you heat set the embossing powder while the texture paste is still wet, then the paste tends to bubble. I prefer to do it this way, because I love the additional texture, but also because I am terribly impatient lol
Then I matted the card topper onto some green cardstock which really finishes it off
I cut the Merry from a Tim Holtz die set out of red cardstock
I always use my Mini Wendy Vecchi Make Art Stay-tion to line up my cards. I simply stuck Santa and the Merry to the front of the card
It really does not get easier than that for a quick and easy Christmas Card!
