All wound up and ready to go! Check out how I created this Halloween Card Topper…

I started off by stamping some of my favourite Halloween images onto hot pressed watercolour paper (I like to use hot pressed watercolour paper because it is smooth and accepts liquid beautifully without warping).
I used my Couture Creations Stamp Press to ensure I received a perfect impression and stamped the images using Jet Black Archival Ink
I cut a piece of Hot Pressed Wtaercolour Paper and sprayed it with a little water and some Distress Inks…
Antique Line and Hickory Smoke with a little Oxide Antique Linen.
I prefer to spray in my splatbox to avoid messing up my entire creative station
I added some Hickory Smoke in directly from my ink pad, to my non-stick craft sheet and spritzed with a little water and ran my cardstock through the ink droplets for added effect and dried using a heat tool
I stamped the mummy image directly onto the inked background using my Couture Creations stamping press, as I wanted to ensure I had a perfectly clear image. I stamped ink Archival Jet Black ink

And then inked around the outside edge of the card using a blending tool and Black Soot distress ink
I sprayed some mummy cloth with a little Antique Linen Oxide Spray, and Distress Spray, Hickory Smoke and dried that using my heat tool
Then I cut a spider from my Frightful Things die set using black cardstock
And used my Winsor and Newton Watercolour Markers to colour in the original mummy image I stamped on plain white watercolour paper and then cut him out. I am in love with these watercolour markers – they are my absolute ‘go to’ marker now!
I adhered the cut out coloured image of the mummy, directly over the version stamped on the inked background.
Then I inked using a blending tool and Distress Ink Black Soot over my mini Falling Stars stencil to add some random stars in the background of the card
I added the inked mummy cloth to the card using Distress Collage Medium Matte
I also added some natural coloured Litchen for extra effect
And glued my spider into place at the top of the card, coming off the stamped cobwebs
Last, but not least, I added a Halloween Word Token with some bones to the mummy cloth / litchen mix which really finishes off the card
Hope you have fun creating some spook-tacular Halloween makes too!
